2008 was a difficult year on many fronts, but I did learn and accomplish a few things. Here are my favorite posts by month:

JanuaryRunning Milestone Achieved – I had a goal of running for one mile without stopping and I managed to finally do it. But then like Forrest Gump I kept on running, running until I had run two miles without stopping. Three would have to wait. And is still waiting.

FebruaryA Time For Action – Nothing super special about this post other than I liked the writing – and the observation about late night eating that is still a problem for me.

March9 Tips For Kick-Starting Your Dormant Weight Loss Blog – I had let my writing slack off a little bit and I wrote this post to shake me out of my slump.

AprilWhat Inspires You? – I’m still struggling to define what inspires me.

MayBike Winner Announced! – I announce the winner of my biggest prize package to date – almost $500 worth of prizes. I’m hoping to do more contests in 2009.

JuneWeightloss Struggles Continue – A constant theme in 2008 was struggling with trying to lose weight. I like this post because it reminds me of why I keep this weight loss blog – as a vehicle to make these little vents that hopefully are cumulative into a successful outlook at some point.

JulyIn Which I Tell My Wife About My Weight Loss Blog – I finally out myself to my wife. I had been a closet weight loss blogger until this post.

AugustReducing the Clutter of Life – I don’t feel this post got the accolades it deserved – I really like it. I’m still dealing with clutter every day.

SeptemberLosing Weight is Hard – Wherein I make the brilliant, never-before heard observation that it is hard work to lose weight.

OctoberHiding the Oreos – This post seemed to resonate with people – apparently other guys get their Oreos hidden too!

NovemberThanksgiving is Black Thursday for Dieters – I get hungry just reading this post. Point made!

December4 Reasons I Shouldn’t Eat Cereal for Breakfast – Do you eat breakfast cereal? I really shouldn’t and here are four reasons why.

My name John and I started writing my weight loss blog at the beginning of August, 2007. I was not fit, I was fat. 41 years old, 6′-0″, 295 pounds fat. Far from fit. I have struggled with my weight for 20 years and finally saw the writing on the wall.  Honesty is the key to my writing and eventual success, which has not yet come. But I keep plugging away!

Why don’t you subscribe to my blog and join me on my journey from fat to fit in 2009!

Hiding the Oreos was my favorite.

It reminded me of hidden Oreos and hidden Girl Scout cookies in the past.
