What I Learned From… Anything At All!

What I Learned FromDo you know what today is? That’s right (sound of huge crowd cheering) – it’s the first Monday of the month! (Cue the fireworks, cue the band)

Yep, that’s right! Back by popular demand, it’s time for another herd of tales (if you’ll pardon the expression) from you, the readers, for this month’s What I Learned From… group writing project.

So my fine feathered friends, it’s time to sharpen up your keyboards and put on your thinking caps! Gird up your loins, and stock up on brain food! Darn the torpedoes and full speed – er, sorry, got carried away there.

This month’s topic: Anything at all! Hey, this month it’s wide open, folks; just go for it!

(By the way, if you’ve never tried this before and would like to see some examples of past entries, go to the WILF archive page tab up there at the top. All previous project entries are listed there for posterior posterity.)

Remember, the project will be open for contributions from now until next Sunday night, November 11th (and as usual, should you or any of your team be caught or killed, or, you know, break a fingernail or something during the execution of this project, the Secretary will deny all knowledge of your existence).

Here’s all you have to do to participate:

1. Write a new post on your blog with a link to THIS KICKOFF POST (so I can find it). There are no limits to the number of words you can use, so feel free to be as eloquent (or concise) as you like. C’mon, show off if you like!
2. Title your post “What I Learned From __________” (and, um, don’t forget to fill in the blank)
3. Send me an email (rhruzek@sbcglobal.net) containing your name, the title of your post, and the permalink of the post. (I usually notice the trackbacks, but this will make sure I don’t miss it.)

That’s all you have to do! I will post the entire list of entries next Monday, November 12th.

As always here at the Zone, there are just two simple rules:

1. For the sake of the general blogging audience, please keep it G-Rated. (Also please note: this is a request, not a demand, since after all it’s your blog and you can do what you want. However, fair warning: I reserve the right to choose to link to you or not.)
2. Be nice!

Ladies and gentlemen, start your pencils!

    Hi Robert.

Always wonder if the the typepad trackback system is ‘on track’ with other blog platforms – 9 times out of 10 it isn’t!
