What I Learned From 2007 - Karen Zara

Howdy, Bubba! Hey, if you're new around these parts, I just want to say how much I appreciate you dropping by! Oh, and you may want to subscribe to my feed. Thanks, and a tip o' the hat to ya!

WILF ChristmasInquiring minds want to know: What were the most amazing, profound, surprising, or even whacky things you’ve learned over the last year?

Here’s one more late-breaking entry from Karen Zara at Abaminds:

I’ve been blogging for several years now. But for this Blogapalooza I chose to write about Abaminds, which is my newest blog. It isn’t that I haven’t learned any lessons from all my other blogs – and I have so many that I could create a whole Blogapalooza just for them. It’s just that Abaminds is a very special project for me.

Besides, being less than three months old, it is easier to analyze (in other words: yes, I’m lazy, so I’m trying to play a dirt trick here in order to write less).

Here are the lessons I learned from Abaminds last year:

November – The blog’s second post, 6 Steps To Take Writing Ideas From WordPress Themes, achieved an amazing (and unexpected) level of success. It showed me that even when a blogger isn’t happy with her own posts – I wasn’t exactly glad at myself after reading the finished article –, they may not be that bad after all. It also made me realize that it doesn’t necessarily have to take you a long time to find the right path for a new project.

December – The article 4 Ways To Find Inspiration in Compassion followed a very successful post series and still was quite successful as well. From this experience I learned that a blogger can please her readers even when she writes about topics that aren’t tightly related to her niche. What’s better: she can reach a broader audience while retaining the existing one.

Two great months, several precious lessons. I can hardly wait for the next ones! Yes, I refer to both months and lessons. ;-)

Phew - a short entry, that’s a relief Karen, cos I’m finding it hard to keep up with this blogapalooza!

Say, do us all a favor, won't you? We’re fairly easy-going around these here parts, but please do NOT enter a keyword phrase or a business, product or service name as YOUR name in the comment section. It will likely get your comment labeled as spam and deleted. You MAY, however, use a real name, nickname or handle, along with a brief identifying phrase, such as "Big Bubba, Midnight Cowboy." Thanks a herd, and a tip o’ the hat to ya! - Ed.
