Vote!

I have no idea who this Iraqi woman is, but judging from her expression of joy, I’d venture to say she was absolutely thrilled at the opportunity, perhaps for the first time in her life, to cast a vote in a genuinely free election.

That was then.

Now, if you’re an American, and you haven’t already done so – I recommend you get out there today and exercise your hard-won freedom.

But whatever you do, never forget the cost of that freedom.

‘Nuff said!

I voted weeks ago. I wasn’t taking any chances. That’s the greatest thing about this election…the number of people participating.

You ain’t kiddin’ about the turnout this time, Jean! Hopefully, all those folks who voted actually, you know, thought about their choices this time…

Well, Robert. The final result has been announced and Obama is the new US president now.

Hopefully, he will do his duty and bring America out from the economy crisis ASAP…

If only he would go after the ones who instigated it – all members of his own party! Ah well… we’ll see.

When I turned 18 I wasnt able to vote for my own country, not because I dont want to vote but because I was actually out there helping. I was part of NAMFREL an organization to which they watch the votes of the people for a clean and honest elections. It was really a wonderful experience there, when it was my turn to register I found out that I still cant because I was late for the elections.

Makati, at least you can be proud of the fact that you helped enable many other votes!

Thanks Robert! I know I did a good thing and I still do dream of a good governance from our country so that I dont feel that votes for the leaders we chose are not wasted. :)

I agree that the culprits need to be held accountable. I hope Obama is not some sort of trick and actual delivers because that would be excellent.
