Hey, things happen, you know? Here I was, all set for today’s post; I had it all written and prepared. Then, it happened.
It was a dark and stormy night. Intermittent lightning flashed, the rains came, the waters rose. Civilization as we know it collapsed, and zombie hordes overran the Earth. They managed to break through the outer walls and were clamoring for blood…

Did you know that thanks to the phenomenon of blogging, becoming self-published has become so easy that you can do it without even knowing it?
Last Thursday I was writing a post on the subject of clarity, and then realized it still needed some polishing, so in the midst of my tinkering around with it, I inadvertently pushed the “publish” button, and, well - the rest is history (as you know, you can never take anything back once it’s out there on the Internet).
I didn’t even know it was published (I thought it was still in draft form!) until I got an email notification of a comment! Sheesh!
Luckily, I had pretty much finished the editing, so for what it’s worth - it’s done! So if you’re interested in today’s post, just follow the hand back to last Thursday, where you’ll find The Importance of Clarity.

It’s definitely turning into the twilight zone round here! Anyway, I’m glad to find the importance of clarity is now officially published - seeing as how I’ve already linked to it:-)

Joanna, we’re close - the Twilight Zone is up and a little bit to the left from the Middle Zone. We do get some of the same effects, though…

That’s not as bad as what I accidentally did. I maintain our church Web site. The priest e-mails me devotionals and liturgy lessons, and I post them to the blog.
Not long ago, I uploaded a liturgy lesson from BlogDesk. It wasn’t until I got a comment on my personal blog that I realized I hadn’t changed the blog to post to from my blog (the default) to the church blog.
I had to post a confession that I didn’t write the liturgy lesson and it didn’t belong on my blog. And the comment was so compimentary.

Oh, well, didn’t Nietzsche once say something like, “whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”? ‘Course, he’s dead now. Bwa-ha-ha-ha!
This is an important topic and a timely one. I think that in the rush of trying to meet so many pressing deadlines, it’s easy to lose focus.
You got it, Laura! Y’know, they say the first step is to admit you have a problem. OK, I admit it; I forgot what I was doing at the time, and ended up pushing the wrong button! *sigh*

Robyn; yeah, it can sometimes be like an extremely public, never-to-be-taken-back Freudian slip! But this is exactly why I (usually) write, edit, and polish my posts offline first!
