Heading to SOBCon ‘07!

Chicago SkylineWell, I’m heading off today for that great northern wilderness (also known by it’s more popular name, “Chicago”) to join as many as 250 other fine folks at the extravaganza of the year, SOBCon ’07!

To be honest I have no idea what it’s going to be like, since I’ve never done this sort of thing before. (I mean, other than a concert, lots of great speakers, and plenty of interactive sessions with famous, not-so-famous, and infamous bloggers, business leaders, and other fun stuff – click on the SOBCon icon at the left or the link above for details.)

Now, you’ll probably be regaled by as many different stories as there are people attending SOBCon, and that’s to be expected. But one of the things I’ll be on the lookout for are the strange, unusual and possibly completely overlooked aspects of this event; things that are of interest from an MZM sortof perspective. After all, when this many people gather in one place, there are bound to be plenty of examples of life in the Middle Zone!

I don’t even know what kind of Internet access they’ll have, although I expect it’ll be the usual hotel wireless network. I’m assuming I’ll be able to blog during the event on Saturday, but who knows? But even if it’s possible, I don’t want to miss anything interesting (and it all sounds interesting), so if you don’t see anything new for a bit, then try the Zone again later; rest assured you’ll hear about it soon.

So y’all have a great day, and with any luck at all, there’ll be more to come Real Soon Now!

Say, do us all a favor, won't you? We’re fairly easy-going around these here parts, but please do NOT enter a keyword phrase or a business, product or service name as YOUR name in the comment section. It will likely get your comment labeled as spam and deleted. You MAY, however, use a real name, nickname or handle, along with a brief identifying phrase, such as "Big Bubba, Midnight Cowboy." Thanks a herd, and a tip o’ the hat to ya! - Ed.
