Group Writing Project: What I Learned From…
Well, it’s been a whole month since our last group writing project here at the Zone, and you know what that means, right?
Yep, it’s time for another round of stories from you, the readers, for this month’s What I Learned From… project. So, sharpen up your keyboards, my friends, and put on your thinking caps, because this time I’m going to give you a topic.
This month’s topic is the world of work. You can write anything you like, as long as it has something to do with work.
The project will be open for contributions from now until next Sunday night, June 10, so ladies and gentlemen, start your pencils!
Here’s all you have to do to participate:
- Write a new post, and put it on your blog with a reference to THIS POST (uh, the one you’re reading now). There are no limitations on the number of words, so feel free to be as concise (or as eloquent) as you like.
- Title your post “What IÂ Learned From __________” (Du’oh! Don’t forget to fill in the blank!)
- Send me an email (rhruzek@sbcglobal.net) containing your name, the title of your post, and the permalink of the post.
That’s all you have to do! I will post the entire list of entries next Monday, June 11.
As always here at the Zone, there are just two simple rules:
- For the sake of the general blogging audience, please keep it G-Rated. (Also please note: this is a request, not a demand, since after all it’s your blog and you can do what you want.)
- Be nice.
You may remember last time I requested you to post a copy of the entire list of links on your site. Well, after the Problogger debacle (893 entries – I think we all learned something from that one!), asking all participants to post the links will no longer be a requirement here at the Zone. Besides, I admit that begging for links (which, alas, is how it came across) is so… gauche, don’t you think?
Besides, the main thing is to allow you guys to share some lessons you’ve learned from the school of life, and to have fun and maybe learn something from reading others’ contributions as well.
Y’all have fun, and… don’t forget to write!
[UPDATE] Sorry, but I just realized my email address was incorrect, just in case anyone has had trouble emailing me. My bad.

Hi Robert,
This is a terrific project. It’s a great question to ask and we should do it constantly. It inspired me to blog about it today.
