All Entries: What I Learned From Adversity

A big ol’ Texas-sized Yee-Haw (sound of big ol’ Texas sized Yee-Haw) for everyone who chose to join us for this month’s group writing project: What I Learned From Adversity! Thanks again for sharing your stories (and more importantly, your lessons learned) with the rest of us!

This month we had a total of [UPDATED, YET AGAIN!] 35 entries (sound of crowd cheering enthusiastically). Way to go, folks! I think Joanna Young said it best when she described group writing project entries as a kind of gift. That’s exactly how I feel about ‘em, and I’m truly grateful that y’all took the time to participate.

Hey, and don’t forget to tune in tomorrow when I announce who wins the FREE copy of Problogger: Secrets to Blogging Your Way to a Six-figure Income!

You’ll find the entire list below (in no particular order, other than it’s how I found ‘em). Hey, there’s some very interesting and thoughtful writers here this month, I’m tellin’ ya! Do yourself a favor and check ‘em all out. Heck, drop by the authors’ blogs and start a conversation, why don’cha!

And last, but hopefully not least, here’s a couple of entries from yours truly:

Y’all give yourselves a big hand, my friends! And as usual, a big tip o’ the hat to ya! Be sure to tune in for the next exciting edition of What I Learned From…!

So, what’s the subject going to be, you ask? Well… I’m afraid that would be telling. But I can assure you – it’s gonna be a good’un!

  2. Just wanted to say it was great to be involved with this – but that I would like to add a “What I learned from entering this group writing project” if I may?

Firstly, I was amazed at how supportive people have been – I was very nervous about posting up my entry. I learned that it was good to take the risk and be vulnerable, if it’s a good community (like this one).

Secondly, I need to pay closer detail to the brief! I got so caught up in thinking about adversity, that when inspiration struck I wrote and entered – without saying anything about the what I learned from it part. Sorry about that! Next time I will be more careful, and apply some of my working life discipline to my eager, wilful creative writing self!

  3. @Emma – Hey, no worries, Emma; we’re usually pretty loose about that stuff here. I encourage writers to just, y’know, write whatever they want, so unless it’s totally off the mark, I don’t worry about the details. Much.

Thanks for taking a chance, Emma; a great start to what is hopefully a beautiful friendship!

  4. @Robyn – Most difficult? Gee, I’da thought it was a slam dunk for most folks! I mean, we’ve all learned something from this one, it seems to me. But I’m glad you joined us – and I’m working on your challenge, too.

  5. WoW, I’ve read all the three blogposts of Luke Gedeon and I loved all the three entries! What an awesome and inspiring blogposts indeed, Robert.
