January – Sundays Are

I like to think of myself as a generous person. I like to think of myself as someone who helps other people. But in this particular situation, I walked away when I could have so easily given to someone in need. It was a very sobering experience.

February – Life According to My Father

A simple comment my Dad said to me in an email turned into a jewel for understanding life as we know it.

March – Tasty Metaphors

People get into squabbles over the stupidest things. So, I came up with a solution. And it involves cookies.

April - The Rest

“The world is indeed flat. I can tell you this because I’m sitting on the edge of it.”

May – Jetlag Blue

I went to a concert the night after I came home from being overseas. The result was music and an ocean that nearly took me under.

June – Poetry

I feel like I’m caught in a storybook or that my life is just a joke. Can you help me decipher the poetry?

July – Bond

James Bond makes an appearance at the restaurant I was eating lunch at.

August – Falling

Autumn is coming, and so is the season for falling.

September – What’s Left of Hide and Seek

We’re playing Hide and Seek and it’s about to rain.

October – Seven Hours

It’s been pouring outside for seven hours straight.

November – Mathematics

“There is no mathematics to love and loss.”

December – Your dream, my dream! We all scream if it’s… not.

I’m really tired of living everyone else’s dreams for my life. Here is my declaration of self just in time for the New Year.

Life according to my father was my favorite.

    So short, but so true!
