September: The Parking Lot…a place where one minute I was so full of God and the next so out of touch that I am dumbfounded. As I sat in the parking lot AT CHURCH, stewing over why my daughter wasn’t there to be picked up, a group of 45 people were surrounding the home of a cancer patient in prayer…read on!
October: Cowboy Hungry…October found me waiting for a lunch guest and reading the literature on the table. Here is the question that was posed: “Ever felt a hunger so powerful you couldn’t tame it?” reads the piece of Pizza Ranch literature that also includes a menu and the phone numbers of their growing list of stores throughout the Midwest. “That’s Cowboy Hungry…And when Cowboy Hunger hits, there only one solution. Head straight for your nearest Pizza Ranch.” My take on filling the hunger is a little different, and might even resonate with the good ‘ol Middle Zone Musings audience a little bit…
November: Intentional Grounding… To experience grace and peace in this life, being intentionally grounded is key. Here is a little taste…”Much has been made in recent hours of being intentional. I have been hammered with this theme, in fact, and realize that I have been doing so much running and am so busy with “stuff” that my time with Jesus and the Word of God hasn’t been what I love it to be of late. The frantic pace (again much of it being good stuff) should have drawn a 15 yard penalty.
December: It’s Brewski Time! Come on over for a little shot of what happened IN CHURCH one Sunday morning in this little Midwestern town. Hope you enjoy the story of what one little church is delving into.

Experiencing Grace and Peace is the rambling of one man whose life has been transformed by the grace of Christ. I am a weekly newspaper publisher – it’s what I do, not who I am, though it once was. This blog is part of my quest to learn more and more about who this Jesus we worship is, and discovering exactly what it is He wants from me in this life. It’s a place where we can hopefully experience a little grace and peace together.
