Guest post by Jesse and Sarah Lopez who write over at God Is Not Finished With Us Yet

February Brainwashed I was labeled ‘brainwashed’ for my belief in Christ and wrote in my blog about this.

March The kid’s rooms are finally finished! I was so relieved to complete the loooong , time consuming process  it took to put together my 5 and 3 year olds bedrooms.   Finally, after much labor and hours of work, my husband and I were finished. Yay!  Now, let’s take a rest….ahhhhh,  now doesn’t that feels good?

April Memories of my brother My only ‘full’ brother (what I mean by that is not ‘half-brother’) was suddenly killed and through trying to be a support for a friend who lost her dear Aunt to breast cancer, I was suddenly regressing to my own moments of grief over John.  Though I had already grieved his death, I found myself repeating the cycle and pondering over the memories we shared together.

May Are you dancing with Jesus or Someone Else? A powerful video clip that I received via email from my sister about the walk with Christ and how so often we get distracted by life.   It’s a wonderful reminder about how important it is to stay focused on Him and not be torn away by the things of this world.

June They grow up so fast! About how fast my toddler son went from Pull Up Diapers to boys briefs within the blink of an eye and how it’s a reminder for me to cherish every moment and teach my kids the important things in life while I can.

July Where’s Hannah and Jesse? Oh, there they ARE! This is a simple, silly video clip of mom and dad pretending to not know where Hannah and Jesse were hiding.

August Poor Little Jesse gets hurt Not quite 3 yet, little Jesse gets his first sprain from simply being all boy by trying to do some tricks in the backyard.

September Hurricane Ike Our experience of Hurricane Ike hitting Houston dead on, just as the meteorologist predicted, for once they were right.

October Blessings through the corrections from God There were a lot of demands on me as a mother, and through them I neglected the bond I had with Hannah, age 5, who took it hard.   As I cried out to God in this, He spoke to me about many things.

November On the lighter side of things… Hannah, age 5, insisted she help me with picking out this year’s Christmas photo cards. This worried my husband and me as she was pointing at puppy dogs and other non-appropriate Christmas themes. Kids are funny creatures, eh?

December Dear God, Even so close to Christmas, just weeks away, I was tested with trials of many kinds. I wrote my thoughts in my blog about the various struggles I faced and the way I felt about myself. I was overcome however by the many love thoughts I received by my blog friends Jennifer Dukes, Billy Coffey, Carol, Leslie, and Myself n I. Thank you all for that much needed encouragement!

My husband and I have our blog as a journey as we walk together with Christ by our sides. We aren’t perfect, and God knows we need His help more often than not. We aren’t writers or poets or anything in between. We are just ordinary folks who try to make it in this world, keeping Christ in the center of it all. Sometimes we write silly posts, or things that just have to do with our every day life like something about our kids or the days events. Please feel free to stop by, leave a comment, or just travel through. We welcome you with open arms!

Memories of My Brother was my favorite.

    >I guess everyone goes through it when you’ve lost someone….going back in time about fond moments and then going through the cycle of grieving all over again.
    So true.

Thank you J.D. Meier. I appreciate your comment and time to read that post.

I’m going to repost the posting of ‘Memories of my brother’ in Feb. on his birthdate as a reflection of my thoughts of him.

I viewed your page/site and I wasn’t sure how to comment on there, so sorry about that. I hope you get this at least. :D I’ll try to see where to post comments on your page again though.
